Once again, Carisbrook take the lead

Announcing the appointment of one of the country’s top dentistry for children specialists

A couple of week’s or so ago we spotted a short newspaper article that was promoting the ‘sniffing of lavender for three minutes’ as a way of reducing child anxiety before they attended their dental appointment. Yes, it could work, but here at Carisbrook Dental we have taken the concept of specialist dentistry for children much, much further and we are delighted to announce that Dr Elnaz Aliakbary, a registered Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry, will be joining our practice in February.Ellie (as she is known by our staff, patients and friends) has an impressive portfolio of qualifications and experience: DDS, MFDS RCS (Glas), MClinDent (Paeds), PG Cert (Health Research), MPaedDent RCS (Tricollegiate-England, Edinburgh and Glasgow).Ellie is a senior registered Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry. She completed a Masters Degree in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Bristol; achieved postgraduate Certificate in Health Research at the University of Leeds; she has membership of the faculty of Dental Surgeons of Glasgow along with membership in Paediatric Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Edinburgh and Glasgow.In addition to all her qualifications, Ellie has worked as a senior specialist registrar at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester and the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. She has also been an honourary lecturer at the University of Manchester, teaching dental undergraduate students and specialist trainees. Ellie was awarded the National Institute for the Health Research Academic Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Dentistry. She has also presented at national and international conferences and has written a number of published articles on dentistry for children.Ellie has been awarded national and international prizes from the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry and the European Society of Paediatric Dentistry.As you can appreciate, Ellie is widely acknowledged as one of this country’s leading dentistry for children specialists and we are delighted that she is now joining the Carisbrook Dental team.Not just for Carisbrook patientsEllie will, of course, be available to provide her unique paediatric experience for any children who are on our patients list and of course for any new junior patients whose parents wish to make an appointment.In addition, however, Ellie is more than happy to work in conjunction with other dental practices, wherever they may be located, in order to provide the specialist paediatric treatment that young patients may require.
