We recommend all new patients have a dental examination before any treatment. This ensures we all agree on the best options and appropriate treatment for you.

General dental examination and two small x-rays

During your first examination appointment you will be given an opportunity to meet our team and your dentist. Before the examination the dentist will take time to discuss your concerns and expectations. It is important we fully understand your concerns and expectations in order to provide you with bespoke advice and treatments.

Examinations typically take 30 minutes and are comprehensive involving an oral health screen, cosmetic review and oral cancer screen. Digital dental X-rays may be taken and together with cutting edge camera technology, any findings will be discussed and explained to you. Treatment options, both health and cosmetic, will be discussed in detail and you will be provided with a cost estimate normally at the end of the appointment. For complex treatments a comprehensive report will be written and sent to you after the appointment.

We believe in developing long term relationships with our patients, Carisbrook Dental was established in 1956 and we are proud to say we have patients who have been coming to the practice for over 50 years. Our primary aim is disease prevention through advice and education, thus preventing oral disease such as tooth decay or gum disease.
